”Mommy, why are you crying?”Sitting on the couch with her legs crossed in a pretzel style, Cian was breastfeeding Alex with the help of the Boppy pillow and watching the Lion King with her four-year-old… while also bawling her eyes out. She looked over at Kol, seeing a worried and sympathetic look in those green eyes that mirrored hers. Her oldest son was a real trouble maker to be honest, but he definitely had a soft side as well and didn’t like to see his mother cry. Wiping her eyes with the back of her hand, Cian tried to stop, but she just couldn’t. Her hormones were getting the best of her and she knew exactly why. At first, she’d been too busy with the boys to even realize she’d missed her period… then she’d figured she was just late… then she started getting sick and hormonal and knew it was time to take a pregnancy test. She and Killian weren’t exactly opposed to having another baby, but they hadn’t planned on having one so soon after Alex. Then again, Kol hadn’t been planned at all and he was a blessing most days… some days. When he was sleeping or being cute and not the devil in sheep’s skin. Okay, so Cian loved her boys more than anything and would literally kill for them. She wouldn’t trade them for anything in the world and, in all honesty… she was excited to be having another baby. Now all she needed to do was tell her husband. ”It’s just…” Cian said, sniffing. ”I’m so happy. Simba’s finally taken back Pride Rock…” Watching as Simba roared dramatically in the rain, Cian cried even harder and Kol put a comforting arm around her, patting her comfortingly on her back, like she often did to him. ”Daddy will be home soon. He can make you feel better,” Kol said rather adorably, kissing her on the cheek. ”I’ll get you a snack.” Climbing down off of the couch, Kol walked into the kitchen, heading right for the fridge and opening it up. Cian listened for any signs that Kol might need her and looked down at Alex who, at about a year old, still melted her heart just as much as his brother. Pregnancy only ever made Cian sappier and more emotional than usual, so just looking at her beautiful baby boy made her cry even harder. Her boys were just so handsome and so like their father. Her heart felt like it was ready to explode. Christ, why did pregnancy always have to get to her like this? She wasn’t exactly sure how her husband was going to take the news about her being pregnant for a third time, but she was confident that he wouldn’t take it badly. This was unexpected, but not terrible. Sure it would be difficult to juggle Kol, Alex, and another baby, but they could do it… they would probably go insane in the process because their oldest son was the devil and Alexander seemed like he was turning out just like his older brother… but they could do it. Hopefully this next child was a perfect, little angel. Suckling away, Alex took hold of her finger, squeezing it tightly. It felt like he was squeezing her heart instead though. ”Mommy’s not overly emotional… is she?” she asked him, sniffing as he sort of gave her a side-eyed look. Humming innocently to himself, Kol stood on his stepping stool and poked around the fridge, looking for something that might magically make his mother stop crying. When a loud crack echoed through the kitchen, he just about jumped out of his skin as if he’d been caught red-handed. The pudding cup he’d had in his hand went flying, breaking open on the kitchen floor and causing chocolate pudding to splatter all around it. ”Daddy!” Kol yelled out, jumping down from his stepping stool and running to hug his father like he did every day when Killian came home from work. In the process of running to him, he managed to step right in the pudding with his bare feet, tracking pudding footprints across the floor. Throwing his arms around Killian, Kol held on tight, never wanting to let go. ”Mommy’s having a rough day,” Kol said, looking up at his father. ”She cried when she was doing laundry, she cried when she was snuggling Frank, she cried when Alex cried, she cried when she saw a dead deer on the side of the road, and now she’s crying and watching the Lion King… so I’m getting her a snack. You should give her a hug. She needs it. I can’t hear the TV when she’s crying.”Pulling away from Killian, Kol dragged his stepping stool over to the silverware drawer, leaving the fridge wide open, and grabbed a spoon. Jumping down, he proceeded to use the spoon to scoop the pudding off of the floor and back into the pudding cup, still intending to give it to his mother. ”Is that you, babe?” Cian called from the other room, the emotion in her tone audible and serving to confirm what Kol had claimed… that she was indeed crying, but now trying to hide it since her husband was home. It wasn’t often that Cian cried and, when she did, it was usually either her period or pregnancy that was to blame. Cian

Killian grabbed the stack of papers that had been piled haphazardly on his desk, presumably from John who hated doing paperwork as much as he did, and shoved them into one of the drawers that still had room in it. He had half a mind to go shove it into John’s desk actually but figured he had it booby trapped or something so he decided against it. He did however throw a dark look at his best friend’s desk, that was suspiciously clear of anything remotely pertaining to paperwork.
He stood from his desk, walked a few paces and then disapparated. It didn’t take long and there he was, standing in the kitchen and watched as his four-year-old practically jumped out of his skin and threw the pudding cup he had been fishing out of the fridge. Killian bent quickly as Kol jumped down from his stepstool and came barreling towards him.
Being a father hadn’t been one of Killian’s main priorities in life, not at first anyway, but now he couldn’t bear to imagine life without his two sons and the knowledge that at the end of the day he’d be going home to them, seeing their faces light up with bright smiles just at the sight of him. He held onto Kol as his son’s arms wrapped around his neck and listened as he started going on about how Cian had been crying all day.
”Then a hug is exactly what mommy will be getting.” Killian told his son even as he watched him let go of him and get back to his task. He grimaced at the mess Kol had made, knowing that if Cian spotted it she would probably get emotional over that as well if it was one of those days… he was in the middle of cleaning it up magically when he noticed what Kol was doing with the spoon. While Killian probably would have allowed their son to give the spilt pudding to Cian on any other occasion he decided against it at the moment and grabbed his son’s wrist gently ”Maybe you should grab a new one for mommy and eat this one yourself.” It wasn’t like it would kill the kid, Killian had eaten much worse as a child and he had turned out just fine.
”No, I’m just some random, amazingly handsome man that showed up in your kitchen.” Killian replied to his wife, a wide grin on his face. As he left Kol to his spilt pudding and went to the fridge and shut the door so that he could open the freezer and pull out the pint of ice cream he knew Cian had been hiding for moments like these. He grabbed another spoon and the walked into the living room. ”Our darling boy says you’ve been having a bad day… he was going to give you pudding off the floor but I figured you’d want this instead…” He told her, taking in her puffy face that, even though she was doing her best to stop crying, gave it away for her.

”Okay!” Kol said, shrugging his shoulders. He was more than happy to oblige and eat the pudding himself. When Killian went out into the living room, the four-year-old followed, carrying his pudding to the coffee table where he kneeled and delightfully started to eat it.
”We better make it quick then, my husband will be home any minute.” Cian said, looking up at the man she’d married and quirking a brow at him for being a smartass. Her eyes fell down to the ice cream he had for her and she perked up a little. ”Pudding off the floor? KOL…” Cian said, looking over and seeing a trail of chocolate footprints coming in from the kitchen.
Her green eyes darted over to her eldest son, taking in his now chocolate covered face. ”What?” he asked, acting innocent. Her brows rose in a pointed look and he shrugged his shoulders. ”Sorry. It was an accident.” Sighing, Cian turned her eyes back to her husband, happy to see both him and the ice cream he bore.
After having heard the sound of his father’s voice, Alex pulled his mouth away from his mother’s breast and gave Killian a wide smile that showed off the beginnings of his front teeth. ”DADA!” he squealed with delight, pulling away from Cian. He was no longer interested in the sustenance his mother had to offer him now that daddy was home.
”It wasn’t an awful day, he’s just exaggerating…”
”Mommy, can we watch that again? I couldn’t hear it cause you were crying.”
Cian obliged her son’s request sheepishly, picking up the remote and setting the movie back for him. After setting it back down, she situated herself and pulled the strap of her tank top back up now that Alex seemed to be satisfied. Picking the one-year-old up, she held him out to her husband. ”I’ll trade you this baby I found in the trash can for the ice cream. I’ll even throw in a kiss, just don’t tell my husband. He doesn’t like it when I kiss the random handsome men who pop up in the kitchen.”
Having him home definitely improved her mood a little… now if only she could think of how to tell him about her pregnancy. The girls already knew… she’d told them at lunch the other and… well, ironically, all of them were pregnant as well. Cian was actually starting to wonder what was in the water. She’d already known for a few days now; she was just biding her time and waiting for the perfect moment to tell him.

Killian couldn’t help but smirk as his son left a trail of pudding in his wake, there really was hardly ever a time that Kol wasn’t making a mess of some kind. His eyes went from his messy haired son to the one who had moments ago been latched onto Cian’s breast and smiled as Alex excitedly called to him. Seriously, if someone had tried telling him back in Hogwarts that he would someday enjoy being a father he probably would have hexed them for saying something so preposterous, but now he was the one that had been telling John such things.
”You can’t be serious, you looked in the trash can for a broken condom?” Killian asked even as he traded Cian her ice cream for their toddler, whose hands were already reaching out for him. Though Kol had definitely been an accident, Alex was less of one… but that didn’t mean Killian didn’t like making fun of the fact that both of them were rather unplanned.
Ruffling his youngest child’s hair, he glanced back at his wife and winked at her. ”I’ll be sure to keep my mouth shut so that your husband never hears about your little indiscretions.” Killian said before pressing a kiss to Alex’s cheek and then setting him onto the floor to undoubtedly get himself into some sort of trouble. There were honestly not enough hours in the day to make sure that the two boys were out of trouble at all times.
After a moment of watching the two he sat down beside her, leaning back and throwing his arm over her shoulder, bringing her to lean against him as she dug her spoon into the ice cream he had brought her. ”You cried while doing the laundry?” Killian asked, unable to keep the words from spilling out of his mouth. It always amused him to see what kinds of things managed to make her cry when her hormones were out of whack, though he was honestly attributing it to pre-period symptoms seeing that she hadn’t had hers yet. Despite the fact that their two sons were right there as living proof that accidents happen, it didn’t even come to mind that Cian could be pregnant instead of getting her period late.

”I didn’t go looking for it, it was just sort of sitting on the top when I took out the trash from the kitchen,” Cian said, happily taking the ice cream. Kol looked over at them then and he clearly had more pudding on his face and shirt than he’d gotten into his actual mouth.
”What’s a broken condom?” he asked them, his mouth full of pudding and a look of confusion on his tiny face.
”Your brother is,” Cian joked without missing a beat, opening up the ice cream and taking a spoonful.
”Oh… am I a broken condom?”
”No, baby… you’re a drunken night and a forgotten pill,” Cian said, smiling a little as she imagined what the look on Morty’s face would be like when Kol repeated that to her. The things that Kol said to her stepmother, the woman he thought of only as his grandmother, amused her to no end. Of course Kol didn’t entirely understand this… thankfully. She could see it in his confused expression as he turned back to his movie while Alex started to play with the cat’s toy.
Resting against him, Cian just felt so comfortable lying against him. God, even his smell was intoxicating. She couldn’t even describe the intense warmth that spread over her just from having his strong arms wrapped around her and… damn the things she would do to him if there weren’t innocent children in the room.
”Listen… listen…” she said, already a few spoonfuls into the ice cream. ”I was washing Alex’s clothes and they’re just so tiny and cute and…” Sniffing, she was starting to get emotional again. ”He’s just getting so big.” She watched with tear-filled eyes as her toddler pulled himself into a standing position with the help of the coffee table. He was so wobbly and it was just so damn cute as he just popped up on the other side of the table with a laugh, like he was some sort of jack in the box. That didn’t exactly help Cian’s over emotional state though and her heart swelled to the point of tears again.
Wiping them away, she set the ice cream down on the table, finished with it for the time being. Pulling herself into his lap, Cian faced her husband and straddled him, resting her hands against his broad chest. For a brief moment, she looked over her shoulder at the boys, Kol still immersed in the Lion King and Alex banging a toy dinosaur against the coffee table.
”Don’t judge me for being emotional sometimes. I can still beat your ass in a wrestling match… And if you don’t believe me, we can have a match tonight after the boys are asleep.” Her green eyes gleamed devilishly and she smiled at him before kissing him on the lips, rather heatedly for a moment, only to pull back. Biting her lip, her brows drew together and she sat back, searching his blue eyes.
”I’ve been thinking…” She was a little nervous, but tremendously excited at the same time. If there was one thing Cian loved about motherhood, it was being pregnant with Killian’s baby. She didn’t quite enjoy squeezing them out, but actually being pregnant made her feel so incredibly close to him. ”How would you feel about having another baby?” Tilting her head to the side a little, she was curious to see what his thoughts were on the matter before she sprang the news on him.

Killian couldn’t help but roll his eyes at her as she talked about how washing their son’s clothes was the thing that made her cry, seeing how tiny they were and getting emotional about how big Alex was getting. It was during times like these that he was happy he wasn’t a woman, getting hormonal and crying about any little thing… like the cat deciding to spur louder than usual or something like that. He did find it an adorable trait in his wife though, seeing as she was only usually this way when on her period or pregnant.
He smiled at her as she set down her ice cream and crawled into his lap, straddling him so that she was facing him… just that act alone had his pants starting to grow a little uncomfortably tight in the groin region. Killian shook his head at her words though and grinned at her. ”I think I’d beat you actually, but I’ll definitely enjoy letting you try…” He winked at her before she leaned forward and pressed a kiss to his lips.
Killian’s arms wrapped around his wife as their kiss got a little heated, and if they weren’t sitting in the living room with their two kids present his hands would have already found their way up under her shirt to fondle her breasts. Just thinking about how they felt in his hands almost had him groaning… she definitely had an effect on him, Cian did.
As she worried at her lip with her teeth Killian brought one of his hands around and ran his thumb over her lip, pulling her bottom one down. ”Uh oh, you? Thinking? That’s not always a good thing…” Killian teased her as he looked into those lovely green eyes of hers. His thumb slid down from her lips, down her chin and then down across her throat. His hand paused in its movements though as she spoke, asking his thoughts on having another child.
A shocked expression crossed his face momentarily, his eyebrows raised as he looked at her and he shook his head… he had a feeling he already knew where this was going. ” Oh Lord. Don’t tell me babe, you aren’t pregnant again are you? Do you really want another boy running around, having to pull his fingers out of his nose as he’s digging for hidden treasure?” Killian asked her, though a smile spread across his face. Okay so having another child wasn’t exactly on his list of important things to happen at the moment… but if his wife was pregnant again he wasn’t going to cry about it… he definitely wasn’t going to pass out and hit his head like John had earlier that day.

”Well maybe if their father would stop doing it, they wouldn’t do it,” Cian said, rolling her eyes. She had flushed a little when he asked her if she was pregnant though and the hint of a smile caused the corners of her mouth to curve upward. ”I’m just saying...” Leaning in, she pressed herself against him and kissed him again.
When she broke the kiss, pulling on his lower lip as she did so, she didn’t go far, her lips still brushing against his. ”I might have missed my period…” She kissed him again, her hands sliding up his chest now before her arms wrapped around his neck. ”And I might have taken a pregnancy test…” she breathed between kisses.
She let this kiss last a little longer, her tongue probing his mouth eagerly to dance with his. There was passion in this kiss, but love and desire as well. It was a sure sign that things were going to get heated once the kids went to bed. This really wasn’t any different from any other day though. The two of them still went at it as hot and heavy as they did when they were teenagers, jumping at the chance whenever they were alone for more than a few minutes at a time, whether the boys were in bed or just in the other room.
Finally pulling back, Cian was a little breathless as she looked down at her husband, the man the she loved most. Her life would be completely empty without her three boys. Killian, Kol, and Alex truly held her heart, as cheesy as that may have been, but there was certainly room for one more. ”And it might have come out positive…”
The smile on her face was rather breathless as she searched his eyes and expression. ”So I might be pregnant and you might be the father. It’s between you and the milkman,” she teased, her smile growing more pronounced. She loved Killian so damn much and the proof of their love was sitting right in that room, one covered in pudding and the other crawling under the coffee table to play with the cat. She was certain that they could handle another baby and the more she thought about it, the more Cian actually wanted another baby.
She couldn’t wipe the smile from her face, feeling as though her heart was going to positively burst. ”Now I’ll ask you again…” she said, taking his ridiculously handsome face in her hands. ”How would you feel about having another baby? Preferably one who actually looks like me…” Alex had more of her features that Kol did, but both boys still looked predominantly like their father. Was it too much to ask for a red-haired baby?

Kilian definitely didn’t object to his wife drawing out telling him that she was indeed pregnant again, kissing him seductively between bits and pieces of her confession and pressing her body against his so that he could feel her bare breasts through both of their shirts as they pressed into his chest. His mouth opened eagerly as her tongue delved into his mouth, tangling with his own and their kiss got rather heated, his hands roamed his wife’s body even as his cock hardened in his pants… the way she straddled his lap definitely didn’t help with that little problem either.
”Oh the milkman huh? Did he apparate into the kitchen as well? Maybe your husband should do something about all the men that seem to be able to show up in the middle of your kitchen.” Killian said grinning. He definitely wasn’t going to be upset about the prospect of another child running around their home. They were well off enough that they could financially handle a third child, and Killian knew that Cian was kind of hoping to have at least one girl so that she wasn’t surrounded by so much testosterone.
Killian put off answering her for a moment though as he leaned forward and captured her lips with his once more. Well, until Kol piped up ”Eww, girls have cooties dad.” Killian almost burst out laughing at his son’s words, forgetting that he had told him that a while back. Pulling back from Cian, he glanced around at his son who had momentarily forgotten his movie and was like ”Most girls do, but your mother is safe, her kisses won’t kill you…” He said winking before glancing back at Cian. ”I don’t know if either of us could handle another boy… so as long as that baby comes out a girl then we can keep it.” A grin spread across his face as he said this.

A fire blazed within Cian as she felt her husband’s erection pressing against her and it took all of her will power to not put Alex in the pack and play so that she could drag Killian off to the bathroom, or somewhere else that was away from innocent eyes, for a quickie. Actually, that was exactly what she was going to suggest before Killian captured her lips again. She was really getting into it when they were interrupted and she was accused of having cooties by their son.
She could only roll her eyes at her husband’s response to Kol’s statement. ”It might kill you though,” she teased, arching a sinfully dangerous brow at him. The smile on his face warmed her heart a little and she released him in favor of sliding her hands beneath her top and over her flat stomach, reminiscing about what it was like to carry his baby. She still had a little while to go before she showed and started to feel the baby kick, but it had been her favorite part of pregnancy.
”I bet we can make a pretty penny on Amazon or Ebay if it’s another boy,” she said, resting her forehead against his. ”Our babies come out so beautiful that they’re worth more than any of those other goofy looking babies out there.” When she kissed him this time, it was a little softer and more fleeting. ”I love you…” she said, really meaning it, right down to the bottom of her heart. Maybe motherhood and marriage had softened Cian up a little… just a little though.
Removing her hands from her stomach, Cian pushed them up under his shirt so that she could feel his bare chest against her hands. ”So how bout… dinner, bath and story time for Thing One and Thing Two, lights out for anyone under age five, and then we can get started on that wrestling match… and celebrate the addition of spawn number three?” Cian smiled rather naughtily at him, leaning in and kissing his neck before moving to his earlobe and biting it gently.
”Or, before we do any of that, you can go with me to the laundry room and take a look at the dryer for me… it could probably use some maintenance, I’m sure.” Alex popping up by the couch and making an excited noise of surprise directed at his parents made Cian jump a little. ”Jesus!” she said, caught of guard as she looked over at their toddler. He thought this was a downright riot though and started laughing hysterically.
