Lena was still completely flustered. Her head was positively spinning and her lips hadn’t stopped tingling from Rhaegar’s kiss. In all honesty, his kiss had entirely swept Chris out of her mind, but now… well, she couldn’t help but compare Rhaegar’s kiss to Chris’s and Chris didn’t even come close to stacking up against Rhaegar.
When Chris kissed her it honestly felt a little slimy almost and like he was more interested in his own enjoyment and the singular thing that she knew was always on his mind. With Rhaegar though, there were more than sparks between them. He set ever fiber of her being on fire and his kisses were just so damn electric and fiery.
There was no question about it. She knew that she had to break up with Chris. Actually, she never should have said yes to him to begin with. She just did so because she finally started to give up on there ever being anything other than harmless flirting between her and Rhaegar… clearly she’d been wrong.
God, she didn’t know whether she should be bouncing up and down after what happened between her and Rhaegar after practice or if she should be nervous as hell about breaking up with Chris. Lena had had a major crush on Rhaegar for as long as she could possibly remember and kissing him entirely blew and day dreams she’d ever had of him out of the water.
”LENA! Hello? Anyone home in there?”
”Eww, what do you want?” Lena asked, swatting Stryder’s hand out of her face as he waved it in front of her. She was sitting in the Great Hall, hardly having touched her dinner since her stomach was currently twisting itself into both nervous and excited knots. It was probably a good thing that he’d snapped her out of it though because she’d been staring down the table at Rhaegar a little too long.
”What’s up with you? I thought you were brain dead for a second there. More so than usual at least. Can you help me with my essay for History of Magic?” Stryder asked her, sliding into the vacant spot beside her where Luce had been sitting just a few minutes before.
”You’re the brain dead one if you think I’m helping you with your homework again,” Lena said to her little brother, giving him a slight look. ”The last time you had me help you with your homework, I wound up doing it for you.”
”Aww, come on! That was once! Don’t you want to make up for all that time we missed with each other? We have years to make up for.”
”Sure. While we’re at it, let’s make it a family event cause I’m sure dad and Lydia will love to hear that you’re not doing your own homework.” Having a little brother that she never knew about definitely had its ups and downs and the two had already assimilated into their lives as siblings. They drove each other up the wall, but they would could for each other, that was for sure.
”You wouldn’t…” Stryder said, narrowing his eyes on his older sister.
”Try me,” Lena said, giving him the side-eye and a smirk.
”Fine. But if I fail-“
”If you fail, I want to be there to hear the howler that your mom is going to send you.”
”Hey!” Chris said, coming up on the other side of her. Sitting on the bench with his back to the table, he gave Lena a rather cocky smirk before leaning in to kiss her and Stryder responded with a roll of his eyes. Lena turned her head just in time so that Chris’s kiss landed on her cheek instead of her lips… she was still relishing the feel of Rhaegar’s kiss and she was also starting to feel just a little guilty.
”Want me to walk you back to your common room?” he asked her, running his hand up her leg. Stryder gave him a stony look that said it all. Her little brother really wasn’t so pleased with her choice in a boyfriend.
”Get a room,” Stryder said, gagging.
”Why don’t you shut it and go play with your finger paints, kid?” Chris snapped.
”Chris-“ Lena said, her brows drawing together. She didn’t really appreciate how he always treated her little brother.
”I would, but your mom hasn’t given them back to me since she borrowed them the other night after-“
”OKAY!” Lena said, cutting Stryder off. She got to her feet, pulling Chris with her. Stryder just watched them with a stormy look in his eyes, glaring at Chris. ”Let’s get out of here. I’ll see you later, loser.” Giving Stryder a reassuring smile, she let Chris lead her out of the Great Hall by the hand. Her blue eyes wandered back to Rhaegar and she felt the heat and color rising in her face before he disappeared from her line of sight as they left the room.
There was no doubt in her mind that she was going to end thing with Chris… she just wasn’t sure exactly how to do it or what to say. Trying to go over the words in her head, she wound up walking in silence as he led her up the grand staircase.
”Where are we going?” she asked him, brows knitting together as he led her into an empty classroom.
”I’ve hardly seen you all day, I need my fix,” he said, shutting the door behind them.
”Chris, I-“
He interrupted her by crushing his lips to hers, pulling her close to him and backing her toward the desk. She was immediately on the defensive, pressing her hands on his chest to push him away.
”What are you doing?” she asked him. He wasn’t making this any easier and she couldn’t let it go any farther. It wasn’t right to lead him on.
”I’m kissing my girlfriend, what’s it look like?” he asked her, kissing down her neck. She tried to shrug him off, but he was relentless as he pressed his body against her, his hand sliding down to her ass.
”I think we should talk…” she said, pushing against him futilely even as his other hand slid under the fabric of her tank top.
”What’s there to talk about?” He slid his hand up her side farther, likely trying to make his way up to her breast, but she set her hand over his and halted its progress, pushing it downward.
”Us. We need to talk about us.”
”Baby, the last thing we need to do is talk about us when there’s other things we could be doing.” Ugh, sometimes she just wanted to punch him. He was relentless in his efforts to get into her pants and this wasn’t exactly the first time he’d thrown himself at her like this.
”Chris, I think-“ He stopped her short by kissing her lips again, roughly this time, and backed her up until the back of her legs hit the desk. Practically bending backwards over it, she started to hit his chest and was finally able to push him away.
”Come on, Lena, you’ve been driving me insane. Do you really want to be a virgin for the rest of your life?” he breathed, trying to entice her with kisses along her jaw and neck.
”I don’t want-”
”I think I know what will get you to change your mind…” he said with pure lust in his eyes as he unbuttoned her jeans.
”Wait, stop.“ she said, her heart pounding and her eyes growing wide as she had to grab hold of his wrist before he could go any farther. She didn’t want to do this with him and he was being extremely too pushy fort her liking. Was he too blind to see that she was trying to break up with him and not have sex with him?
”Shhh… just relax, I know what I’m doing,” he said in her ear, sucking on her neck as he started to slide his hand down the front of her jeans anyway. His other hand pulled hers away from his wrist. ”God, Lena, you are so fucking hot. I can’t wait any longer to fuck you, it’s killing me. You don’t have to be scared, baby. I promise, you’ll enjoy it.”
”I said STOP,” she snapped, her heart racing (and not in a good way) as she hit him in the chest. His hand rubbed over her underwear for a moment before he moved to go under there as well, genuinely scaring her with how pushy he was being. She’d never had a guy’s hand down her pants before and she didn’t want him touching her like this. It just didn’t feel right. She was five seconds away from punching him in the face, the way her father had taught her.
